Whether you're headed back yourself or just a person who's noticed the countless commercials, sales, and Facebook posts, it's officially back-to-school season. To celebrate everything back-to-school—hiiii, new notebooks, ILY—we teamed up with CollegeFashionista—your preeminent internet source for everything re: college campus fashion, style, trends, and more—to see what's happening on campuses across the country.

Helping us dive deeper into back-to-school fashion is Anna Coke, a senior at the University of Kentucky majoring in Merchandising, Apparel and Textiles. She gave us the 411 on what she's bringing back to school, where she finds outfit inspiration, and more.

MTV: Hi, Anna! What’s your favorite part about returning to school?

ANNA COKE: Being with my friends! There's nothing better than doing all the fun fall traditions with people you love.

MTV: Where do you look for style inspiration?

ANNA: Pinterest! I always have at least 5 different tabs open of style boards I love. My faves are CollegeFashionista (obviously!), Christine Barberich, Lauren Santo Domingo, and pretty much every magazine you can think of.

MTV: Do you ever save looks for campus that you wouldn’t wear at home?

ANNA: I usually save my most simple outfits for campus. Most days I'm running around like a chicken with my head cut off, so I typically just try to wear things that don't get in the way.

MTV: How do you transition your wardrobe from summer to fall?

ANNA: I add layers to everything. Fall is the best time of year because I can wear all my favorite summer outfits with all my favorite fall pieces. There's really nothing better than wearing denim shorts with a big chunky sweater.

MTV: What’s the one look you can’t wait to try this fall?

ANNA: Thigh high boots. I got a pair at the place I interned this summer and they are absolutely amazing. I can't think of a better item to pair with everything.

MTV: If you could only bring three clothing items to school this semester, what would they be?

ANNA: A striped shirt, a flirty dress, and the perfect pair of jeans.

MTV: Any tips for getting the perfect street style shot for Instagram? We need them. Desperately.

ANNA: Be confident! When I feel uncomfortable, it always shows. Keep your shoulders back, chin down and smile big. It's a fool-proof way to look fabulous no matter what you're wearing.
