Monday night in Vancouver, Janet Jackson returned to the stage to kick off her new Unbreakable World Tour -- her first since 2011. Right away, she busted out of the gate with a track that featured Missy Elliott -- sadly not in person but via screen projection -- and reportedly jumped into what quickly became an onslaught of past hits.
Missy tweeted out her support of JJ before she took the stage.
The sprawling 69-date tour comes in advance of her new Unbreakable album, due out sometime in the near future, which includes the slinky nightcrawling tune "No Sleeep" that we're obsessed with.
In a career-spanning set that included "Control," "Any Time, Any Place," "Rhythm Nation" and "Scream," originally a duet with her brother Michael, it became clear: The original queen is back. We wished we were there, especially when we saw the photos of the show emerge on Tuesday.
Come, let us indulge in them together.
