Demi Lovato's newfound confidence definitely showed while she wore this pink, hip-hugging dress. Paired with her soon-to-be signature slicked back hairstyle, she was an easy pick for one of the best looks of the night. Even better? Her stylist Avo Yermagyan told MTV News that this was the first and only dress she tried on for the show.

Nicki Minaj in Labourjoisie

Nicki Minaj looked like a straight-up goddess tonight in her gold gown that was covered in beads and sequins. While her on-stage appearances from this year's show will be memorable for many years to come, so will this glamorous red carpet look.

Amber Rose and Blac Chyna in custom outfits

It's rare that we get a red carpet look that makes such a cool social statement, but Amber Rose and Blac Chyna gave one to us. Wearing jumpsuits made by "two feminists in Philly" that were scrawled with slut-shaming words the women constantly have directed at them, Amber and Chyna shut down their haters and looked pretty sick while doing it.

Taylor Swift in Ashish

The leader of the "Bad Blood" crew served up a whole lotta colorful sequins (to match her multiple Moonmen, maybe?) and of course, a crop top. It's a flashier side of red carpet Swift, and one we rarely see. Maybe her tour wardrobe is starting to rub off on her.

Selena Gomez in Calvin Klein

Selena Gomez shimmered in her floor-length black gown that she paired with a pair of platform shoes (and her perfect hair). While she didn't perform or present this year, it's hard to not notice her.

Cara Delevingne in Saint Laurent

Cara Delevingne isn't one to follow the crowd, which explains why she opted for a short, patterned dress over the gowns that her fellow "Bad Blood" co-stars went for. The fringe look popped on the carpet and, as usual, Cara found herself on the best dressed list yet again.

Gigi Hadid in Emilia Wickstead

No surprise, Gigi Hadid showed up with the rest of the #squad looking like the supermodel she is. Her yellow look revealed a whole lotta leg, and by that, we mean all of her legs, and she stunned. With her pushed back hair and golden tan, she somehow combines beach babe and glamorous model, and we would like to know how.

While we love Hailee Steinfeld's cream colored pantsuit, we were actually drooling over her gold choker. Paired with her gold shoes and circular clutch, we dub Hailee's the most fashion-forward appearance of the evening.
