This Lonely Wombat Is Looking For Love On Tinder -- Would You Swipe Right?

Cutest guy we've seen on Tinder in ages.

At almost 88 pounds, Patrick -- the world's oldest captive wombat -- is a big dude. He's also, apparently, too laid back to be able to find a mate on his own at his home in Australia's Ballarat Wildlife Park. Which is why he's now on Tinder looking for love.

Um...who's your friend, Pat?

"The male wombat has to be very aggressive toward the female, and Patrick just isn't a very aggressive wombat," Patrick's owner Julia Leonard told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. "So he chooses to be single...Relationships are a bit complex when you're a wombat."

Patrick may still be single, but that doesn't mean he's not popular. He has over 30,000 followers on Facebook, and at press time an invitation advertising his upcoming 30th birthday party had gotten 600 likes within just 4 hours of being posted. We're hoping at least a few of those likes came from cute lady wombats who plan to attend.

Patrick's got a lot to celebrate -- at nearly 30 years old, he has exceeded the lifespan of most wombats in captivity -- most only live to 15 or 20. Which also means he's running out of time to find the love of his life.

Swipe right, lady wombats, swipe right! And if Tinder doesn't pan out, maybe Patrick can try Grindr.
