Courtney Love Pens A Heartbreaking Note To Kurt Cobain: ‘What Were You Thinking?’

Plus, hear a nine-minute previously unreleased Nirvana song.

More than two decades after Kurt Cobain passed away, the nostalgia for Nirvana’s glory days is stronger than ever. Earlier this year, the documentary “Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck” shed fascinating light on the frontman’s tumultuous life, unearthing some of his never-before-heard demos in the process.

Now, yet another previously unreleased Nirvana song has made its way to YouTube. Clocking in at a whopping nine minutes, “E-Coli” is a mostly unstructured jam sesh with howling, incoherent vocals from Kurt himself. According to the video’s description, it’s thought to be from 1993 or 1994.

And in other Nirvana nostalgia news, Kurt’s widow, Courtney Love, recently posted a pair of sweet throwback photos of herself with Kurt and their daughter Frances Bean, who turned 23 last week.

In the first snap, Kurt lays upside down while Frances sleeps on top of him. Courtney captioned the pic, “My greatest love and our precious Bean #missyou #memories.”

Two days later, Courtney posted another image from the same photoshoot, and included a heartbreaking note directed at Kurt in which she shares her confusion and grief about his 1994 suicide.

“Makes me feel so sad. Our baby is all grown up now,” she wrote. “Jesus Kurt look at her face, what on earth were you thinking..⁉⁉ God I miss you, we all miss you #family #memories #turnbacktime #lovehim.”
