Watch The Weeknd Bury Himself In His ‘Tell Your Friends’ Video
The Weeknd is set to take the VMA stage this weekend, but before that, he's unleashed a brand new video.
The clip is for his Kanye West-produced "Tell Your Friends" track off the upcoming Beauty Behind The Madness LP. It's been a highly anticipated single as Yeezy and Abel connect.
The Grant Singer-directed video takes us into the sunset and a dark night as Weeknd buries himself and more. Here's a look at how "Tell Your Friends" unfolds.
We see Abel with a shovel.
He's burying himself in the clip. Is this symbolic? Is he leaving his past behind? What do you think it means?
He doesn't seem too bothered by it all.
Weeknd even busts out this little MJ-inspired move.
Then, we see another person approach him.
Coincidentally, it happens to be the person who lit him on fire in the "Can't Feel My Face" video, whose name is Rick Wilder. He also appeared in "The Hills." Could these clips be connected?
But Weeknd is prepared to fire.
If the vids are connected, is this a metaphor for Abel killing his haters and burying his old self?
Here's the full vid.
