Kim Kardashian Rallies For Gun Control In A Passionate Twitter Rant

'Does this not sicken you?'

It’s easy to dub Kim Kardashian’s naked selfie — which she posted to dispel fake pregnancy rumors — as her most intriguing social media activity of the week. But late Wednesday night (Aug. 13), the mama-to-be took to Twitter to address something a little more pressing: gun control laws.

Kim kicked off her series of passionate tweets by asking her 34 million followers if they’ve heard the gruesome story about David Conley, who allegedly killed his ex-girlfriend, Valerie Jackson, her husband, and her six children in Houston. Conley is accused of shooting all eight victims one by one in the back of the head, and the gun and ammunition he used was reportedly bought online.

Kim also lamented how easy it is to purchase weapons online, before sending her thoughts and prayers to the family of the victims.

“2 Broke Girls” star Kat Dennings praised Kim’s call-to-action messages with a supportive tweet of her own.

This isn’t the first time Kim has spoken out against gun control. She echoed the same sentiments in June at a Q&A event in Oakland, when she was asked for an idea that would “change the world.” Her response: “Gun control.”

“I'm not the type to have them in my house,” she said. “They scare me so much. If I could do something to change the world… I'm not really a gun person, and we do not have strict enough gun control laws.”
