Drake Follows In Taylor Swift's Platinum Footsteps

If You're Reading This It's Too Late has reached an important milestone.

If you’re reading this, Drake’s latest album has gone platinum.

That’s right. On Monday (Aug. 10), Billboard reported that Drizzy’s latest project If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late has achieved this major milestone.

Six God's new effort has reached a 1.007 million total as of August 7, the report said. It’s the second LP that has reached that goal this year. Who was the first? Taylor Swift sold 1.463 million copies of 1989 this year, bringing the album's total to more than 5 million.

But this isn’t the first time Drake has sold more than a million copies of a project. In fact, he’s done that four times now. Nothing Was The Same and Thank Me Later sold at least 1 million and Take Care has reached more than 2 million units sold.

Drake celebrated this with a post on IG.

"Platinum off the tape," he captioned the image. "Views up next. Thank you once again."

While Drake and Meek Mill's feud has been a focal point of discussions of late, it looks like Drizzy's mind is back on Views just like he said on "Back To Back."
