Madonna became the queen of pop in the 20th century, but now she’s embracing everything great about the 21st. In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, the star explained how Instagram helps her creative process.

The singer, who has 4.4 million followers on the social media channel, said that she “could live without” Instagram, but enjoys using it as an outlet for her creative thinking. "I like to think of it as a kind of art gallery for my thoughts, my dreams, my wishes, my state of mind,” she told EW.

Believe it or not, she does read the comments people leave on her photos, though she doesn’t let the negative ones affect her too much. “You just have to take it all in stride,” she said. "I really don’t take any of it seriously. I can’t afford to.”

Sounds like Madge is still keeping a cool head about stardom, even with all those followers.
