It's A Bird, It's A Plane - It's Jenna Dewan-Tatum Soaring Into 'Supergirl'

Meet Lois Lane's lovely sister.

Channing Tatum isn't the only one in his household who'll be sharing the screen with superheroes.

Jenna Dewan-Tatum has now joined the cast of CBS's "Supergirl" as Lucy Lane, the younger-but-not-less-than sister of Lois Lane.

She's described as a "brash, funny ... strong, smart and successful" character with a romantic entanglement of sorts which brings her into town for Episode 3 of the season.

Per Entertainment Weekly, Dewan-Tatum's role in the series will be recurrent and begin thanks to a super complicated history with the character Jimmy Olsen (Mehcad Brooks) and some wrongs to right. Dun dun dun!

The character was previously portrayed by Peyton List on The WB's "Smallville" and Mauren Teefy in the 1984 film version.

Jenna Dewan-Tatum, of course, is no stranger to the small screen. Most recently, she appeared on Lifetime's "Witches of East End" for two seasons, but she's also held guest roles on "American Horror Story," "Melrose Place," and "The Mindy Project," among others.

"Supergirl," which features "Glee" alum Melissa Benoist as the caped Kara Zor-El, premieres on Monday, Oct. 26 at 8:30 p.m. ET.
