911 calls are, by their very nature, often frantic. So when Esperanza Quintero, 17, called a dispatcher while giving her friend Jaydon Chavez-Silver (also 17) CPR after he'd been shot in the chest by a drive-by shooter in Albuquerque last month, she was surprised that the 911 operator hung up on her when she cursed. "He is barely breathing. How many times do I have to (expletive) tell you," she said. "OK, you know what, ma'am? You can deal with it yourself," Matthew Sanchez said as terminated the call; he did dispatch an ambulance to the scene after hanging up. On Tuesday evening, Sanchez resigned from the Albuquerque Fire Department after the story went national.

American Dentist Regrets Killing Cecil The Lion

Minnesota dentist Walter Palmer says he's now sorry he killed beloved African big cat Cecil the lion during an illegal hunt earlier this month. On Wednesday, two Zimbabwean men who acted as his guides will appear in court to face poaching charges for the outing, for which Palmer allegedly paid more than $50,000. According to reports, the hunters lured the 13-year-old big cat out of Hwange National Park, where Palmer shot him with a bow and arrow, which did not kill Cecil, who survived for another 40 hours. Palmer has been viciously flamed online since the news broke of the hunt, resulting in the website for his dental practice being taken down. "I deeply regret that my pursuit of an activity I love and practice responsibly and legally resulted in the taking of this lion," Palmer said in a statement.

Additional Sandra Bland Jailhouse Video Released

In an attempt to refute rumors that Sandra Bland was hurt or impaired when she was brought to jail last month, Waller County, Texas, officials released three days worth of video chronicling Bland's time behind bars. Bland, who officials said committed suicide while in custody, is seen walking into the jail physically well and getting upset during questioning. The video was an attempt to refute online theories that Bland died during her arrest or was dead during her mugshot.

Movement To Dump John Boehner?

In the first attempt of its kind in 105 years, N.C. House Rep. Mark Meadows filed a "motion to vacate the chair" of Republican House Speaker John Boehner on Tuesday night. Meadows - who was removed from his post as chairman of the House Oversight committee last month (and then later reinstated) -- said he was unhappy with Boehner's leadership and accused the Ohio lawmaker of trying to "consolidate power and centralize decision-making, bypassing the majority of the 435 members of Congress and the people they represent." Though the motion is unlikely to pass, it also accused Boehner of punishing members who "vote according to their conscience instead of the will of the Speaker."
