What would have happened if a radioactive spider bit a cute little pug instead of Peter Parker? One Minnesota-based artist has answered that question in a collection of drawings of Marvel superheroes as dogs.

"It started as a one off thing but I had so much fun I kept going," illustrator Josh Lynch told Mashable. Lynch has enough pups-as-heroes now to form his own league of super-dogs, but he's not even close to stopping. "I'm trying to balance the male presence in the series with a lot more female characters in future installments. Particularly because my daughter seems to enjoy them."
