Ellie Goulding Goes Sci-Fi In Major Lazer's 'Powerful' Video

Time for the acting career to kick off.

Ellie Goulding has become something of a soundtrack superstar -- with more than 50 credits and counting from TV and movies -- and now it looks like all of that Hollywood exposure has finally made an impact. Because her latest music video appearance could easily be confused as some sort of sci-fi short performance. And a pretty decent one at that.

Electronic band Major Lazer culled Goulding and reggae singer Tarrus Riley for their latest eclectic gathering of artists to record a song called "Powerful," and the latter two star as a pair of suddenly-telekinetic diner patrons who team up to destroy the place and then jet in an old school station wagon.

Of course, this isn't the first time Goulding has gotten cinematic in the music video scene. Most recently, she slayed as the bazooka-wielding Destructa X in Taylor Swift's star-filled "Bad Blood" vid.

So, will Goulding give her thespian bone a stretch next? We kind of really want that to happen now.
