Back in February, a petition went up on change.org for MAC Cosmetics to do a collection in honor of the late and iconic singer, Selena Quintanilla.

MAC released a statement in February hinting at the possibility of the collaboration saying, "The loyalty and enthusiasm of Selena's fans are clearly evident and we love this. M·A·C admires the passion and joy Selena brought to the world. She was an amazing person with amazing talent. We consider all types of feedback like this as we plan our collaborations."

Since going up, the petition has gained over 37 thousand signatures and as of today, the brand has officially turned the collab into a reality.

MAC posted a photo on their Instagram account saying, "Like the legend herself, Selena Quintanilla’s fans are an inspiration to us all for their love and enthusiasm. It’s happening! We are excited to announce the M•A•C Selena Quintanilla collection, available in 2016. @SelenaQOfficial #MACSelena"

While 2016 is a ways away, Selena's fans can finally say their petition worked and start guessing at what the cosmetics brand will feature in the upcoming line.
