When Demi Lovato dropped her "Cool For The Summer" single art, we were taken aback by how cool she looked—attitude-wise, not temperature—while wearing a fur coat on the beach, which, LBR, isn't all that practical. While promoting the new (and insanely catchy) single at a pool party, Demi showed off a look that might be even harder to wear in the sun.

Liiiike, can we take a second to acknowledge how insanely hot/cool/all the temperatures Demi looks? Between the slicked back hair, strappy bralette, high-waisted #JORTS, and those shoes, this look is undeniably hot like fiyahhh. All those straps, though, would also undeniably be responsible for the worst tan lines ever, if worn outside without a proper sunscreen situation.

For her performance, Demi added a denim vest and, consequently, the potential for two more awkward tan lines. While Demi appears to have only worn this strappy look inside, we're prettty confident had she ventured out of doors, she would've bathed in sunscreen. (Girl is very dedicated to skincare.)

So, this summer, take your fashion cues from Demi—wear what you want, wherever you want and, most importantly, protect your skin from an awkward tan.
