Since playing the role of Cinderella when she was just 8 years old, Pia Mia knew she was destined to be a performer. And while Pia’s loved ones saw the potential from her elementary school debut, they also noticed another similarity between her and the Disney character she portrayed.

“My family and teachers used to call me a princess when I was young,” the “Do It Again” singer told us. “I even had a princess-themed room.”

So while creating profiles for her Instagram, Twitter and YouTube accounts it felt more than appropriate to incorporate this persona into her handles.

“When my sister Kandis opened my social sites, she named them Princess Pia Mia,” the now 18-year-old explained.

Knowing her history with the nickname, we here at MTV thought it would be fun to have the up-and-coming pop star relive this part of her childhood with some Disney Dubsmashes.
