After 10 years of marriage, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have decided to call it quits.

The couple, who celebrated their 10 year anniversary on Monday, released a joint statement that they were making the "difficult decision to divorce."

"After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce," the couple told People magazine in a joint statement. "We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time. This will be our only comment on this private, family matter. Thank you for understanding."

The parents of three- Violet (9), Seraphina (6), and Samuel (3)- have been flanked by rumors of a split as of late, after a moving truck was spotted outside the couple's Brentwood home.

Jennifer and Ben, who were spotted together earlier this month, met on the set of their 2001 flick, "Pearl Harbor," started dating shortly after they co-stared in the 2003 movie, "Daredevil" and married in June of 2005.

In September of 2014, the "Gone Girl" actor slammed reports that his marriage was in trouble telling Details that tabloids "completely lie."

"I mean, I can show you 10 articles of Star and OK!—those magazines feel totally comfortable absolutely fictionalizing every single element of the story. And there's nothing you can do about that. My only hope is that people with any common sense recognize that those stories are false. And, I don't know, there're worse stories..."
