Carrie Underwood Tackles Wiz Khalifa’s Rap In This ‘See You Again’ Mash-Up

Watch C.U. break it down.

Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth’s tearjerker “See You Again” has been such a monstrous hit over the past few months that you might think it’s inching a little too close to overexposure.

But fear not, “See You Again” enthusiasts: just when you think you’ve heard every rendition of the song — including Vin Diesel’s a cappella tribute to Paul Walker and Tove Lo’s soulful synth ballad — another version has popped up to make you fall in love with it all over again.

Country queen Carrie Underwood took a stab at the “Furious 7” anthem at the Big Barrel Country Music Festival in Dover, Del., nailing both Khalifa’s raps and Puth’s chorus. And to make it even better and more unique, she decided to mash it up with her own song called “See You Again,” from her 2012 album Blown Away.

Yes, she trips up a bit during Khalifa’s first verse, but she gets an A+ for effort. The only thing that would’ve made this even better, in our opinion, is if she had snuck in Miley Cyrus’ version of “See You Again” to complete the “SYA” trifecta — “My best friend Leslie said ‘Oh she’s just being Carrie” sounds TOTALLY legit.
