Impress Your Friends With Globetrotting Knowledge -- Without Leaving Your Couch

'Geography Now' satisfies your wanderlust.

Whether you're still in school or you've been out a couple years, there's a good chance you need to brush up on your geography. But with nearly 200 countries in the world, it's an intimidating prospect -- one that sounds especially hard when you could just spend your day watching Netflix instead.

Paul Barbato wants to make it a little easier on you with his YouTube channel Geography Now. Since late last year, Barbato has been posting video summaries of every country on Earth in alphabetical order. Each video covers all of the basic info you need to know about a country, including history, culture and demographics. And it's all delivered with weird humor and lots of entertaining graphics.

Barbato's videos have really caught on. Geography Now has over 2.4 million views and gets a lot of love from fans around the globe. Viewers even contribute to Barbatos' vids by submitting photos from their home countries and helping him compile the kind of cultural information he can't get from Google.

Geography Now is currently on "B" and has made it through Bhutan, so there's plenty of time for you to start following along. If the extent of your geography knowledge is knowing how to open Maps on your iPhone, it might be time to start watching and learning. Then you can finally bust out that GeoSafari and impress everyone with your knowledge of world capitals.
