Chance The Rapper To Star In Upcoming Murder Mystery Film

'Slice' tells the story of a pizza delivery driver's death... and there may also be ghosts and werewolves.

Chance the Rapper is taking his talents in front of the camera for his first feature film — and it sounds like a super bloody, saucy project.

The Chicago rapper has signed on to star in a murder mystery called “Slice,” which chronicles the aftermath of a pizza delivery driver's death. Or, according to the amusing-sounding storyline on the film’s iMDB page: “When a pizza delivery driver is murdered on the job, the city searches for someone to blame: ghosts? drug dealers? a disgraced werewolf?”

The film is being helmed by fellow Chicagoan Austin Veseley, who also directed the Chance-starring “Sunday Candy” video from Surf, the rapper’s collaboration with The Social Experiment.

Veseley unveiled Chance’s intriguing character poster from the film on Instagram, which shows “Dax” leaning on a motorcycle with Chinese symbols on it.

Chance is no stranger to acting — he appeared in a 23-minute short film called “Mr. Happy” in March, so we’re excited to see what he brings to the screen this time around. According to iMDB, “Slice" is due out next year.
