Katy Perry Calls Out Publication For Using Her Old Russell Brand Quotes

Ooh kill 'em.

Katy Perry may let her songs do the talking when it comes to personal stuff, but when The Daily Telegraph published a three-year-old interview with her, she had to be more explicit.

Last week, the Australian publication printed a Q&A with the singer where she said she hadn't spoken to ex-husband Russell Brand since he texted her saying he was filing for divorce. "I don’t want to talk about him — my songs will say what I need to say," she reportedly said.

But the pop star isn't happy about the recent publish of the piece, lashing out on Twitter.

The Telegraph story even reads old. It delves into her faith and her transition from growing up in a very Christian family -- stories that had been told and retold years ago. It does, however, mention that she's been spending more time with ex-boyfriend John Mayer -- something they might've added to make it seem more timely.

Other sites are continuing to pick up the old Q&A as news.
