If you've been wondering how "Law & Order: SVU" star Mariska Hargitay came to be part of Taylor Swift's epic "Bad Blood" video, the answer is: Ingrid Michaelson.

Turns out, it was the womens' shared love for Michaelson's indie pop act (coupled with Taylor's rabid love for SVU) that first brought them together, as Hargitay explained in this appearance on "Late Night with Seth Meyers."

The two became friendly after Taylor gave the stranded Mariska and her husband a ride home from one of Michaelson's concerts in 2014, and one year (and an honorary cat naming) later, Mariska was saluting Taylor on the set of "Bad Blood."

The best part, apart from Mariska's fangirl moment over her role as "Justice," is that the obvious next step for this friendship is for Taylor to make a cameo appearance on SVU. Don't tell us it can't happen. It could totally happen!
