Waiting For Taylor Swift's 'Bad Blood' Video Premiere Was Torture For Vance Joy, Too

Vance Joy definitely understands.

Were you excited about finally seeing Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood" video? Of course you were. In fact, the anticipation was probably killing you -- but don't worry, because you weren't the only one.

Tay's soon-to-be 1989 tourmate, Vance Joy, performed at the Hangout Festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama, on Sunday, May 17 and although he could've hit the beach afterwards to relax, that wasn't really an option because he was just counting down until the visuals dropped.

Taylor has been mercilessly teasing us, after all.

"I follow Taylor Swift on Instagram," Vance Joy told MTV News, meaning that he'd definitely seen all of those teasers for the video's all-star cast. "I saw the first few, and then 17 amazing people later I'm like -- when is it coming out?

Then he got a little too excited.

"I read the dates wrong, and I thought it was coming out two days ago and I was [online] trying to find it like, it's tonight right? It's tonight?" Poor Vance. He had to wait, just like the rest of us.

"I'm here on the beach and I'm not even going in the water," he said. "I'm just going to sit on my phone and wait for it to come out so I can watch it."

These two linked up after Taylor Swift covered the Australian singer's hit song "Riptide" and eventually they met while she was in New York for a performance on the "Late Show With David Letterman."

They'll have plenty of time to discuss his obsession with the "Bad Blood" video, when he joins her on upcoming dates for the 1989 Tour.
