'Captain America: Civil War' Set Photos Reveal The New Bad Guy

Prepare to get (cross)boned.

"Captain America: Civil War" is currently filming, and when a big movie is on set that means stunts. And stunts means a glimpse at Chris Evans and company in -- and out -- of costume. And today's (May 15) scene from the Atlanta, Georgia set of the threequel doesn't just show off Cap fighting baddies, it may have also given us our first look at (one of the) film's villain.

First, here's Chris Evans, suited up and ready for action:

The scene in question finds Cap defending bystanders from danger, something we've come to know (and love) about Steve Rogers in "Avengers: Age of Ultron," and many more Marvel movies. In fact, according to the photo agency, he isn't just defending them from soldiers, he's being attacked by "CGI monsters."

...Which is interesting because despite the insane number of superheroes in the cast, and even mystical objects like the Tesseract in the first movie, the "Captain America" movies have been relatively grounded. So are things getting otherworldly this time? Or is the photo credit wrong?

Don't worry though, guys: Captain America is on it.

And it isn't just Cap, either... Anthony Mackie is back as The Falcon, and the New Avenger is suited up, and ready for action.

The rest of the New Avengers haven't shown up on set... Yet... But one new/old element that is there? Frank Grillo, as Bruck Rumlow, a.k.a. Crossbones. The villain wasn't in costume in "The Winter Soldier," but it certainly looks like he's suiting up here, and ready to saw some of those crossed bones.

Oh, and fans are pretty pleased:

That's pretty much opposite to the usual leaked first look off a set, where fans gripe about literally aspect of a costume. But you probably can't argue that Grillo (or his stunt double) looks flippin' cool.

Get ready for plenty more from the set, as we lead up to the release of "Civil War" on May 6, 2016.
