Justin Bieber Says There's One Person Holding Him Back From His 'Stupid Phase'

'If it wasn't for this woman let's just say I would have had a way LONGER stupid phase.'

Justin Bieber has been a bit down on himself in the past year, saying that he wasn't the person he was "pretending" to be in the era in which has got arrested for drag racing, graffitied South America and peed in mop buckets. But lately, he's been sorry for that, even issuing an apology earlier this year for being "arrogant" and "conceited." Nevertheless, there are a lot of eyes on Bieber, and he's more than aware about how he comes off.

Even though he seems to be a normal kid now, his mop-bucket era could've lasted a lot longer if it wasn't for one person. And on Mothers' Day, he celebrated the woman who has influenced him to stay out of trouble: his mom, of course.

"This little 4'9 woman may not look like a mom but she is, and she's the best at it!" the singer wrote on his Instagram about mother Pattie Mallette. "This woman taught me everything I know, how to love how to be compassionate how to be strong when the only thing u wanna be is weak how to stand when all you want to do is fall. If it wasn't for this woman lets just say I would have had a way LONGER stupid phase. I love u and thank u for not giving up on me!"

Happy Mother's Day, Pattie!
