Nicki Minaj Is Headed Back To The Big Screen

Another movie for the rap star.

Nicki Minaj is coming to a theater near you.

The rapper is set to co-star in the upcoming "Barbershop 3," according to Variety. The site reports that she will play Draya, "the sassy new hairdresser of the beauty shop portion of the barbershop."

Nicki won't be the only rapper you'll see in the third installment of the series, according to Variety. Ice Cube, of course, who starred in the first two, will again be on board this time around. In addition, Eve, who was also in the first two films, and Common, who recently appeared in "Run All Night" and "Selma," are also on board.

In 2014, the Young Money artist made her on-camera big screen debut, with her appearance in "The Other Woman," alongside Cameron Diaz, Leslie Mann and Kate Upton.

Once she wrapped that, Nicki knew she wanted to continue to explore her acting options.

“I am going on auditions, and I’m trying to find the right role with the right director and the right writers,” she told MTV News last year. “I want to be part of something from the beginning stage this time, and I want the role to be custom-made for me.”

“I have such a versatile personality," she added. "Some days I feel like I wanna do a Will Ferrell comedy; some days I feel like I wanna do more like a 'Set It Off’-type of movie with some other young black actresses and like creating a movement with that. And sometimes I think, maybe I could do 'X-Men’ or something.”

How 'bout all the above?
