Squidward Was Wrong: Watch Proof That Mayonnaise Is An Instrument
Fellow "SpongeBob SquarePants" and Nickelodeon fans, you might wanna sit down for this recent life-changing news. (Yep, even more life-changing than finding out Squidward Tentacles is not actually a squid.)
When we were clueless elementary schoolers, the ever-wise Squidward shared his artistic talents and life lessons with us. He taught us about the subleties of sarcasm and to not feel guilty when we accidentally eat 500 Krabby Patties in one sitting. And he very clearly explained to us (and Patrick) that certain condiments -- namely mayonnaise and horse radish -- would never make it in the music industry.
How foolish we were to believe his nonsense. Last Thursday (April 30), Bomb Squad Records dropped a new track featuring Squidward's so-called illegitimate instrument -- yep, MAYONNAISE. Watch the magic happen below:
It's pretty catchy for a condiment, right? We imagine this is what Squidward looks like right about now:
Patrick must also be pretty stunned, too.
Sooo the real question now is, is ketchup an instrument? What about Sriracha? Mayo is great and all, but we'd love to see all condiments equally represented on our future sandwich-themed Spotify playlist.
