Chance The Rapper's 'Surf' May Finally, Actually Be Dropping -- Really Soon

Let this be true.

This Thursday, Apr. 30, will mark the two-year anniversary of Chance the Rapper's breakout mixtape, Acid Rap. He hasn't released a full-length followup since, but it looks like the Chicago rapper will be celebrating the occasion by finally dropping some new music.

During a concert at Michigan State on Tuesday night, Chano announced to the crowd that he and The Social Experiment will be releasing Surf within a week, according to Complex. Details on the project remains scarce, but we do know that it's being packaged as Donnie Trumpet and The Social Experiment, and that J. Cole, Frank Ocean and Andre 3000 are scheduled to appear.

A handful of excited fans tweeted the news once the 22-year-old announced it onstage.

Chance also posted a blurry Instagram picture of himself and Kanye West on Tuesday, with the caption, "When I dream of Heaven I don't see sharp edges."

We know this wasn't the first time they met, though, because that happened last summer.

"Anyone who knows me knows how big of a moment this was for me,” he wrote back in September. “I’ve been his biggest fan since 04 and I’m pretty sure I’m still his #1 fan. Thanks to J for hookin it up. Thanks to Gizmo for all the good luck yesterday. #IMetKanye."

Hopefully, between those two meetings, the two had a chance to get in the studio together.

Maybe we'll find out some time in the next week.
