One Superfan Almost Outperformed Kanye West At The Time 100 Gala

Who was more influential here?

If you weren't one of the lucky handful of people who got to experience Kanye West's Time 100 Gala set live on Tuesday night, don't worry, we've got you covered.

The annual gala honored the 100 most influential people in the world, including Kanye, and Time posted a snippet of him performing "Only One" (yep, he's covered in chalk), but the fan videos are really where the fun comes in.

According to Time, Kanye began his 20-minute set surrounded by half naked men who were wearing only rags and white chalk, while James Brown's “It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World” played in the background.

He then launched into "All Day" and eventually dipped back into Yeezus with “Black Skinhead,” “New Slaves” and “Blood on the Leaves," before slowing things down a bit with "Runaway" and "Only One" (which you can see in the video above).

Then, of course, he threw in some fan favorites like “Good Life, “Gold Digger,” and "Touch the Sky."

Most people in the crowd looked on, and sort of sang along while filming 'Ye, but then there was superfan "Chris Dont" who really went for it -- and thankfully shared all of the videos on his Instagram account.

In addition to pretty much taking over and rapping Kanye's lyrics for him on "Gold Digger," he even put in song requests.

Trying to outrap 'Ye on 'Gold Digger'

And succeeding...

At one point in the video below, you can hear him yelling "Let's do 'Wolves!' Let's do 'Wolves!' But it doesn't seem like Kanye was down to perform the new single, which we first heard at his Adidas NYFW show.

But still wanting more

Then there were some people who just filmed from the distance
