Jay Z's Roc Nation Records Just Signed Vic Mensa
The company confirmed the Chicago rapper's signing Tuesday (April 21). "Welcome Vic Mensa to the Roc Nation family,” a statement on the site read. "Now part of the Roc Nation Records family, you can get Vic’s new single, 'U Mad’ featuring Kanye West, at all digital retailers.”
“U Mad” was also the subject of a tweet from Jay Z today. The Roc Nation boss, who’s known for rarely tweeting, surprised fans by sending out an iTunes link for Mensa’s “U Mad.”
And it seems Vic celebrated the signing with ink. Is that a Roc-A-Fella Records tattoo on his neck?
Mensa’s been making lots of noise lately. Not only did he release his Kanye West-assisted “U Mad” cut, but he also appeared on Yeezy’s “Wolves.”
How did he get this far? Well, like he told MTV News in October, he trusted his vision.
