Kendrick Lamar Just Dropped His Album, But He's Already Got Another New Verse: Listen

K. Dot teams with Flying Lotus for 'Eyes Above.'

When Kendrick Lamar dropped his new album, To Pimp A Butterfly, he gave us almost 80 minutes of raps. And that was only a few weeks ago. So, really, it wouldn't make sense to expect any new bars from K. Dot for the foreseeable future.

But we deserve nice things heading into the weekend, so now, on top of TPAB, we get "Eyes Above."

The track, which features a one-minute verse from the Compton rapper, comes courtesy of Flying Lotus, who released it on Thursday night, and with whom Kendrick has worked in the past, including "Wesley's Theory," the opening track on TPAB, which FlyLo produced. FlyLo also interviewed Dot for BBC Radio 1.

Flying Lotus had played the song before during live shows, but it wasn't until last night that we got the full, CDQ version.

"I went on tour and he recorded to a bunch of my songs," FlyLo told Pitchfork last year. "I don't know if he's gonna use them or not, but he recorded a bunch of stuff, which is why there's no Captain Murphy album out yet. He took all my beats!"

He added that he thought Kendrick recorded 12 or 13 songs to his beats. So far, we've heard this, "Wesley's Theory, and last year's "Never Catch Me."

We'll take those other ten tracks whenever you're ready, fellas.
