We Asked Linda Cardellini Once And For All Whether There'll Be A 'Freaks And Geeks' Reunion

Don't get your hopes up.

Cult TV hit "Freaks and Geeks" may have only had one season, airing 15 years ago, but that doesn't mean it's not still beloved. Created by Paul Feig, who most recently has brought us "Bridesmaids," "The Heat," and the upcoming "Spy," not to mention that nascent "Ghostbusters" reboot, and starring little-known actors like James Franco, Seth Rogen, Busy Phillips and Jason Segel, among others, the show is nowhere near forgotten, and its cast is still active in the biz.

So when Linda Cardellini, currently starring in the first season of Netflix's spooky story of family and secrets in the murky Florida heat, "Bloodline," stopped by MTV News, we couldn't resist asking her whether we can keep dreaming about a possible reunion.

In short...don't get your hopes up.

"I can't imagine it happening," Cardellini said, though she says that she does still keep in touch with several of her "Freaks" collaborators. "I guess you can never say never, but I think they're perfectly frozen in time. I like it like that. I think it would be hard to go back and do it all over again without them being in high school."

Reconsider! Reconsider! Someone call Paul!
