The 'Walking Dead' Spinoff Trailer Is On Its Way, And Here's What We Want To See

Everything. We want everything.

When "The Walking Dead" wraps up its fifth season on Sunday night (March 29), it'll leave us with something to look forward to: An all-new series set in the same world plagued by horrible, flesh-eating monsters.

AMC plans to reveal the first trailer for its new "Walking Dead" spinoff at some point during the 90-minute season five finale, giving us our best look yet at what's going on in the zombie apocalypse outside of the ravaged American south. What exactly can we expect to see from the trailer? Here's what we're hoping for:

A title!

Is that too much to ask for? It's been codenamed "The Walking Dead: Cobalt," while others have referred to it as "Fear the Walking Dead." We're still pulling for "Walking v Dead: Dawn of Justice," but really, anything will do, as long as we can stop calling this "The 'Walking Dead' Spinoff." (Unless it's actually called "The 'Walking Dead' Spinoff." Please no.)

A release date!

When is this show going to come out of the proverbial A train and into our lives? We want to know! AMC has announced a summer premiere, but if the trailer can give us something a bit more concrete, our neurotic calendar-obsessed brains would be greatly appreciative.

A world without zombies!

Let's see what life was like before the dead started creeping back to life. That's supposed to be a big focus of the companion series, right? To set the clock back, and see the world in the earliest days of the zombie apocalypse? We want at least a glimpse of that world in this first teaser.

In fact, no zombies at all!

Just kidding. All of the zombies, please and thanks, especially if they're invading some iconic Los Angeles locations, like the Santa Monica pier or the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Those poor superheroes have no idea what's coming.

All of the Dickens!

Kim Dickens, one of the stars of the new series, is the best. See here for more. Let's see her be the best in this first trailer.

All of the Cliff!

Likewise, Cliff Curtis, the other main star of the new series, is also the best. See here for more. Let's see him rocking out right beside Kim Dickens, as the Rick Grimes of California.

Absolutely no cameos!

Hard to imagine how any of the characters from the proper "Walking Dead" show could rear their heads in the spinoff series, but just in case anyone's getting any cute ideas, keep 'em to yourself. This show has to stand on its own two legs without any sign of the cast of the original series. If there's a clever way to fit someone from Rick's world into this world at some point, sure, give it a whirl. As far as the opening trailer goes? There's only one chance to make a first impression — best to do it without any help from the Daryl Dixon Fan Club.
