As a couple, Tony and Madison served as the "Real World: Skeletons" romantic pendulum, and thankfully, it sounds like they're still on the upswing.

We recently caught up with the lovebirds after the airing of the Season 30 finale, and even though Tony's in Louisiana and Madison's still a proud Texas gal, they told us they're making things work.

"Sometimes the distance between us is tough, but I love that girl!" Tony told MTV News. "I truly came out of the experience a better person and now have a relationship with one of the greatest people I've ever met."

Still, Tony explained he hasn't made the same effort to stay glued to his infamous skeletons, ex-girlfriends Elizabeth and Alyssa, who turned Chicago upside-down with their brief visit.

"Right after the show, I tried to remain friends with them, but I realized you can't be friends with girls you had that type of relationship with," he admitted. "Hopefully, in time, we can get to a place where we can talk and be civil with each other."

Madison, on the other hand, was thrilled for the opportunity to have some time away from familiar faces in the "Real World" house and is grateful for the chance to have stood on her own two feet.

"I think going out there and being away from my family, I was really able to find myself," she reminisced. "I'm in such a good place now, and it helped me grow so much."

And in case you had any doubts, Madison, who shared the story of a previous drug addiction while on the show, is still as clean as a whistle.

"I'm at the point where I don't even think about using again," she asserted. "The thought would never even cross my mind."

Seems Madison's sobriety is rubbing off on Tony too -- after an infamous "Real World" scene that found him stealing a bottle of wine from a bar and then getting the boot, he insisted he's cutting back on the partying.

"I have calmed down a lot since the show and learned by watching myself that I needed to take it down a notch, but don't get me wrong, I still don't tire!" he shared.
