Condoms, breath mints, your wallet. Of all the things you might want to bring to a first date, a reputation is not one of them. Tonight on "Guy Code," the cast is talking about reputations. Less is always more when it comes to your rep with girls. Here's the good news, the degree to which you have a reputation is largely in your control. Avoid being avoided by steering clear of these status-ruining maneuvers.

Sleeping with girls who are friends

Girls talk. About everything. Simultaneously sleeping with two girls who are pals is a dirt bag move. It’s a recipe for an evening in the very near future wherein the two ladies will discover that they have more in common than a love of "Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide." When this happens, said ladies will proceed to tell every girl they know about your weasel ways and your rep will be eaten alive.

Using cliche "moves"

Whether you’re feeding her lines you learned in some horrendous pick-up artist video or doing the sexual equivalent of "paint by numbers," she can tell that you’re following a script of some kind. That's a cue to her that you do this so often you can’t be bothered to pay attention to the intricacies of any one girl. This will lead to bad sex, which will in turn lead to her rolling her eyes when she mentions you to her friends.

Being cheap

There’s a difference between being cheap and being broke. Plenty of girls will understand if you’re a starving student or in between jobs, and will be more than happy to do things with you that require little to no money. Being cheap, on the other hand, means constantly talking about how much things cost or going to obnoxious ends to cut corners. Ask her to “chip in” for the cost of her Diet Coke and she’ll spill the beans about what a drag you are.

Having severe grooming issues

If she has to navigate through a jungle of smelly body hair, she’s going to tell her tale of inspiring survival to every one she knows. End of story.

Compulsively lying

Nothing says shady like a dude who lies so much that it’s hard to tell his imaginary dog from his made-up illness that kept him from texting back. If you’re constantly lying about small things, she’s going to assume that you’re deceptive when it comes to big picture stuff too, and will publicly put you on her "do not fly" list.

Acting selfish during sex

You know what this means. We don't have to lay it out here. If you’re not ready to be a generous partner, stay home. You know your hand won’t gossip to its friends.

Being disrespectful

Respect is non-negotiable when it comes to any kind of dating or sexual interaction. Failure to respect a girl’s boundaries, time or feelings are all huge violations that will and should give you a stigma that’s tough to shake.

Wetting the bed

We know. We know. You couldn’t help it. We also couldn’t help telling our friends about it. Waking up to a puddle of urine is a hilarious inconvenience that few among us are strong enough to keep quiet. Sorry. Maybe lay off the booze and find a new bed on which to mark your territory.
