Rita Volk On Karmy's Future: 'They'll Get Worse Before They Get Better'

The 'Faking It' actress spills on the show's upcoming episodes.

It didn't look like it could get much worse for Karmy toward the tail end of the most recent "Faking It" season -- during which the platonic soul mates were torn apart at the seams -- but according to actress Rita Volk, who plays Amy, there's still a certain distance to fall.

After Ellen caught up with Volk and showrunner Carter Covington at this weekend's GLAAD Media Awards, and in an interview posted to the site yesterday, Volk said the girls will continue to walk on eggshells around each other in the aftermath of Amy's admission that she slept with Karma's ex-boyfriend Liam.

"That's gonna start on a rough patch," Volk assessed. "When we left the last season, Karma was like, 'I'm over it, and everything is OK'...and Amy doesn't quite believe her."

"They'll get worse before they get better," she added.

And, since Amy is still dealing with the pressure of understanding her sexual identity, she and girlfriend Reagan, who doesn't have a shred of self-doubt, will butt heads over where they stand.

"We're gonna see their relationship deepen, but also get challenged," Covington said. "It's gonna be, for Amy, an intense, volatile, emotional ride."
