We Know When The 'Pretty Little Liars' Will Finally Graduate High School

It's sooner than you think.

Time apparently moves differently in Rosewood.

For the past three seasons on "Pretty Little Liars," the Liars have been stuck in their senior year. More specifically, the second half of season three, all of season four, and the first half of season five took place between Halloween and Thanksgiving -- AKA IN LESS THAN A MONTH. Now do you see why we've always been a little skeptical of the "PLL" timeline?

However, "PLL" boss Marlene King has finally confirmed the Liars' high school graduation date -- and it's coming up! (That's rude considering we didn't even get a save the date. LAME.) Per Seventeen, we'll see the Liars flip their Rosewood High tassels in the season six summer premiere. That's, uh, rather soon. But according to King, things are off to a speedy start in season six.

King told MTV News that the upcoming season five finale and the 10 episodes that follow this summer "take place over a very short period of time."

"Everything is very condensed [in season six]," King said. "...By the end of our summer season, almost every question people have been asking for the last three years -- some questions since season one -- will be answered. It's really the end of this story that we started to tell."

And how do TV shows, specifically teen shows, typically put an end to a major storyline like high school? With a time jump, of course! If these next 11 episodes end with the Liars heading off to college, we wouldn't be surprised if the season six winter premiere picked up a year, or even four years later, post-college. It sounds like Big A will be revealed once and for all in the summer finale, leaving the door wide open for a new villain to start terrorizing the Liars after a bit of a time jump.

Can't you just see Emily, Spencer, Hanna and Aria reuniting in Rosewood after drifting apart to take down a new A? Or perhaps they even come together to mourn the loss of one of their own (gasp!).

Whatever happens, we're just glad to see the Liars will be graduating high school after their seemingly never-ending senior year.
