Tina S. is a 15-year-old French guitarist who's been playing since she was six. She's caught the attention of guitar craftsman Patrice Vigier, bassist Wolfgang Van Halen and literally millions of people around the world on her YouTube channel. Her cover of Van Halen’s "Eruption" has garnered over 11 million views to date:

And yet, she still has to put up with stupid sh-t on the Internet.

"This problem [of sexism] is visible sometimes through the comments I have posted on YouTube," Tina told MTV News, "where some people have highlighted that I am a girl and [question] my real skills and the strength in my hands. ... But I do not really care."

She's young, talented and DGAF what sexist commenters have to say about her ability!

Tina credits her love of guitar to female guitarists Ana Vidovic and Orianthi, her older brother and her teacher, French guitarist/composer Renaud Louis-Servais. ("He was the one who genuinely gave me the tools to significantly improve my technique as well as my musical knowledge thanks to his sense of teaching, his motivation and his experience," she says.)

To those [ladies] about to rock, Tina S. salutes you: "These old prejudices will eventually disappear if we keep persevering and never surrendering," she says. "To be a woman is by no means a weakness nor a shame but a strength."
