Since Rich Gang, in its current incarnation with Rich Homie Quan and Young Thug, may be disbanding, it might soon be time for Birdman to retool. And it looks like he's turning to a former NBA player's daughter.

According to TMZ, the Cash Money money founder and 21-year-old singer Kayla Smith -- known as Kayla Brianna -- have been in talks for a few months now, with a deal apparently nearing.

As for what Kayla's pops, a two-time NBA champ and current host of "Inside the NBA" on TNT, thinks about all of this...well, who cares? She, for one, doesn't.

"He tries to give me advice, but I tell him, 'You stick to basketball, I got this!'" the younger Smith told TMZ.

Though there's no confirmation on an official partnership, in addition to the report, there's this picture of Bird and Kayla from February.

Plus, this tweet from DJ Khaled, who calls her the "Rich Gang princess."

Her video "Honest" premiered on MTV Jams last week (with an appearance from Birdman), and she's worked with Meek Mill in the past.
