Sexist Fanboys Can Officially Chill: They're Making Another All-Male 'Ghostbusters,' Too

Channing Tatum might even star in the project.

Here's something those dudes who cried "MISANDRY!!" over the upcoming all-female "Ghostbusters" reboot will appreciate: Sony Pictures is also planning another all-male installment in the franchise.

Joe and Anthony Russo will direct and produce the film, which Deadline describes as a "counterpart" to the Paul Feig-directed film starring Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, and Kate McKinnon. Drew Pierce will serve as screenwriter, and Channing Tatum has signed on to produce (and possibly even star in) the picture.

Sony's also launching Ghostcorps, a new production company that will oversee the new "Ghostbusters" movies and other branding opportunities for the franchise.

"We want to expand the Ghostbusters universe in ways that will include different films, TV shows, merchandise, all things that are part of modern filmed entertainment," Ivan Reitman, who directed the 1984 and will helm Ghostcorps, told Deadline. "It’s just the beginning of what I hope will be a lot of wonderful movies."

OK, cool -- but hopefully one of those "wonderful movies" will include a follow-up to the Wiig vehicle.
