Watching 'Game Of Thrones' Just Got A Whole Lot Easier - If You're An Apple User

Sorry Android, Roku, etc.

Great news for all of you "Game of Thrones" -- and "Veep," "Silicon Valley," etc. -- fans out there: starting in April, you'll be able to stream all of the HBO you want for $14.99 a month. Sorry, make that "you'll be able to stream all of the HBO you want for $14.99 a month" if you have Apple TV.

HBO CEO Richard Plepler confirmed at an Apple event on Monday (March 9) that Apple would be the exclusive provider for HBO's stand-alone streaming service, HBO Now. Basically, ever Roku owner in America is crying like it's the Red Wedding all over again.

“When you subscribe to HBO Now, you will have access to all our acclaimed original programming, past present and future, as well as our unmatched lineup of Hollywood blockbusters,” Plepler explained.

Users will get their first month of HBO Now free if they sign up via Apple TV -- the price of which decreased from $99 to $69 -- as well as iPhone or iPad. So basically, HBO just made a deal with the Lannisters of the tech world, but we can't complain because we're all going to pay for it anyway.

RIP, my beloved Roku. We had some truly wonderful times together.
