Jennifer Aniston Reveals Why She Never Felt Smart Or Pretty Growing Up

The normally private star opened up big time in this revealing new interview.

Serious question: Could Jennifer Aniston BE more perfect?! She’s pretty much every girl’s eternal #WCW — the bombshell who gave us an iconic hairstyle and who always cracks us up.

But in a candid new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Jen revealed that life hasn’t always been so rosy despite her A-list life.

Jen revealed to the magazine that she was diagnosed with dyslexia in her early ‘20s, which led to so-so grades and harmed her self-image.

“I thought I wasn’t smart,” she admitted. “I just couldn’t retain anything. Now I had this great discovery. I felt like all of my childhood trauma-dies, tragedies, dramas, were explained.”

The 45-year-old "Cake" star recalled how she was diagnosed, saying, "The only reason I knew [that I had it] was because I went to get a prescription for glasses. I had to wear these Buddy Holly glasses. One had a blue lens and one had a red lens. And I had to read a paragraph, and they gave me a quiz, gave me 10 questions based on what I'd just read, and I think I got three right. Then they put a computer on my eyes, showing where my eyes went when I read. My eyes would jump four words and go back two words, and I also had a little bit of a lazy eye, like a crossed eye, which they always have to correct in photos."

Even though she was a funny student in school who excelled in art and drama (obviously), Jen also revealed that her relationship with her mother didn’t help her self-esteem either.

"She was critical. She was very critical of me," she revealed. "Because she was a model, she was gorgeous, stunning. I wasn't. I never was. I honestly still don't think of myself in that sort of light, which is fine.”

But despite her rocky childhood, Jennifer admits she and her beau Justin Theroux would love to be parents someday.

"Who knows if it's going to happen?" she said. "It's been a want. We're doing our best.”

Jen, we’re basically 100% sure that the world needs more generations of your beauty and talent and awesomeness, so we fully support this endeavor.
