Looks like everyone's favorite "New Girl" will soon be a New[lywed] Girl.

Zooey Deschanel is full of milestone announcements lately. Just over a week ago, on January 13, she announced that she and partner Jacob Pechenik were expecting their first child together. Today, US Weekly reported that Pechenik proposed on Deschanel's birthday, January 17.

Deschanel, 35, was married once before, to Death Cab for Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard. Pechenik, a producer, is 42. No wedding date has been announced yet for the couple.

Congratulations to the happy couple -- we're sure the wedding will be totally adorkable.
