For those that don’t know, Flying Lotus is also Captain Murphy the rapper.

Even though the experimental, multi-genre producer and instrumentalist dropped the jazz album, You’re Dead! last year, a fan wanted to know when the Los Angeles native was going to drop another Captain Murphy LP.

While responding that he might release a Murphy project sometime this year, the creative multi-hyphenate born Steven Ellison revealed that he’s been hard at work on something much bigger: a movie.

With his stellar track record across varied mediums such as the animated short for Adult Swim called "The Birth Of Captain Murphy," the fact that the "Never Catch Me" artist is penning a film isn’t as far fetched an idea as it might seem on the surface.

Lotus hasn’t revealed what his movie is about, but one thing’s for sure, it’ll definitely be worth a watch.
