DJ Mustard Can't Wait To Play At Roc Nation Sports' Boxing Event: 'It's Perfect For Me'

The event goes down tonight.

When Roc Nation's sports arm hosts their first boxing event on Friday night (Jan. 9) in New York City, it's only right that one of the label's biggest musical stars, DJ Mustard, be in the house.

"It's the first Roc Nation Sports boxing event, it's going down at Madison Square Garden, and I'm DJing," the hitmkaer told MTV News this week. "It should be a big event. There hasn't been nothing like this. Just to be a part of something that's just starting, it's perfect for me."

Mustard will be joined by fellow signees Fabolous and Angie Martinez for the event, which pit undefeated Dusty “The Beltway Boriqua” Hernandez-Harrison against Tommy “The Razor” Rainone for the vacant WBC Continental Americas Welterweight Championship.

The 10 Summers producer says he's also excited because he's a boxing fan -- particularly Floyd Mayweather.

"I watch all Mayweather fights," he said. "I just watched UFC the other day, I don't know who they was, but I guess they was two top guys. It was crazy, we were watching in the studio -- that's hardcore."

As for what to expect blaring out of the speakers? Whatever it is, it'll get you going.

"I just go off the crowd," he said. "It's different from me doing a festival and me just rocking a boxing event, where everybody just wants to get turned up and have fun. I kind of just go off of them, or what I think they want to hear -- and it usually works."

The event will air on FOX Sports 1.
