The 7 Best Moments In College That No One Talks About

College is fun, and not always for the reasons you expect.

We've all seen the pictures with the red cups, and we get how much you love your Big. You're having the time of your life, and that's awesome ... but some of the greatest college moments are weirdly obscure. Asher Roth has an entire song about how much he loves college, but he forgot to mention...

Taking your bra off and getting into bed after class

Usually I would say that men have it easy and I'm jealous. But the satisfaction of taking an uncomfortable bra off after the end of the class is 100% greater than, I don't know, getting paid equally for equal work. I know that might sound like a stretch, but unhooking your bra and swan-diving into your bed after hours of lectures and note-taking is a top-10 feeling for sure.

Staying in for "me" time when you're feeling antisocial

Yes, it is important to make friends, go out and have fun in college. It's also very important to ignore peer pressure and not go out when you don’t feel like it. The moment when you decide to forego any plans is what it’s all about; you put on a huge t-shirt and re-watch "Breaking Bad," and everything feels right in the world.

Plus, the next morning everyone feels so hungover ... and you feel bright-eyed and superior! Feel free to rub this in your friends' faces and brag about how great the sun feels on your skin.

This year, I watched a whole season of "Game Of Thrones" in a 24-hour period. Then, during finals time, I watched almost all five seasons of "The Walking Dead." In college, no one judges you for this. Everybody does it.

In fact, you'll often find yourself walking into a friend's room to find them looking dead in the eyes. They will stare at you and say, "I am three seasons deep into 'Sons Of Anarchy' and I haven't slept in days." You will pat them encouragingly on the shoulder. You understand completely.

The morning-after gossip

Everybody thinks that the aforementioned night of partying is the college sweet spot, but have they ever experienced a good morning-after debrief? You’re getting brunch, eating french toast and laughing your face off; you get to talk about who hooked up with whom, and how you're 99% certain you saw your English professor playing darts at the bar.

Hooking up your phone to an aux-cord in a cab with your friends

Yes, this one is crazy specific. But if this has happened to you -- and you get to play your music at full blast in a taxi full of your besties -- you’re picking up what I’m putting down.

Realizing you can get away with doing the bare minimum...

You got into college by studying like crazy, and stay in that mode when you first arrive ... until you half-ass a project and still earn a passing grade. That's when it hits you: People have insanely low expectations for college students. So when you put in even some effort, you are praised.

And it's not just professors; it's your fellow students. One day I decided to wake up early, hit the gym and then shower and blow dry my hair to look presentable before class. This was a big deal for me. When I told my friend, she said “good for you!” with complete and total sincerity in her voice.

...and realizing nobody will judge you for (almost) anything

Seven pizza boxes on your floor, and no one ate the slices but you? Totally understandable. You haven't washed your sheets all semester? Of course not, the laundry room is all the way down the hall. You fell asleep on top of a cop car? You’re not a troubled degenerate, you’re a fu--ing legend, dude.

Keep it up, because this all changes the moment you toss that graduation cap in the air.
