ILoveMakonnen caught the break of a lifetime when Drake remixed “Tuesday” and signed him to OVO Sound last year, but apparently the Atlanta-based hip-hop artist wasn’t always feeling Drizzy.

A few of his old tweets, dating back to 2010, were dug up and some of them find him making less-than-flattering remarks about the Toronto rapper’s music. Later on, he has a change of heart, though.

“Drake is mad corny! I just heard that practice song, straight cornpuff,” he wrote in one of the earlier tweets.

Eventually, Makonnen changed his tune, and later he even defended Drake.

“It’s not that I hate Drake, I dontt, I think he is good, its just the people that are ready to fight u over him, he don’t even know you!!” he wrote, adding in January 2013, “drake aint wack! he is actually one of my favorite artists to come out in the pass few years.”

This year Makonnen told MTV News that he cried when he heard Drake's remix of "Tuesday."
