Here's How You Can Experience The Marvel Movies In Chronological Order

Hope you have some time on your hands!

Five months stand between now and the release of "Avengers: Age of Ultron," leaving Marvel fans twiddling their thumbs as they await their next fix.

But if you happen to have video editing skills, and a detailed understanding of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, here's a project that will hold your interest for the foreseeable future: The Comic Archive's "Marvel Movie Omnibus – Phase 1," which is basically the craziest way of experiencing the first wave of Marvel movies that anyone could possibly dream up.

Clocking in at more than 12 hours in length, The Comic Archive re-cut every single Marvel movie from Phase 1 ("Iron Man" all the way through "The Avengers") in chronological order. In fact, even movies from Phase 2, deleted scenes from Phase 1 films, and select scenes from "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." were included in the cut, presenting us with our fullest look at the Marvel Cinematic Universe's continuity yet.

It begins with prologue portions of both "Thor: The Dark World" and "Thor," followed by a flashback scene from "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," before moving into the bulk of "Captain America: The First Avenger." The book-end scenes featuring Steve Rogers in present day aren't included, of course, until much later on in the cut — and that's just the start.

You can't watch The Comic Archive's exact cut for yourself, but detailed instructions with time-codes and words of wisdom should be more than enough to guide you into creating your own version of the Marvel Movie Omnibus. By the time you're finished, you'll be closer than ever to laying your eyes on this guy:
