Lupe Fiasco, Miles Teller & More Celebs Mourn Joe Cocker's Passing

The singer lost his battle with cancer at age 70.

Lupe Fiasco, Miles Teller, Kat Dennings and a host of other celebrities took to Twitter Monday (December 22) to mourn the passing of blues legend Joe Cocker. He died today in his Crawford, Colorado home after losing his battle with lung cancer. He was 70.

If you’re having trouble recalling any of Cocker’s songs, consider this: Dr. Dre sampled Cocker’s 1972 hit, “Woman to Woman,” for 2 Pac’s “California Love.” And then hit up Cocker's Spotify page pronto.

Lupe paid homage to the British singer by urging more of his followers to be like him.

“The Spectacular Now” actor, on the other hand, dropped a “Mad Dog” reference while wishing he’d been able to see him perform live.

The “2 Broke Girls” actress waxed nostalgic.

True to form, Hugh Laurie opted for an oft-kilter remembrance of his fellow countryman, while funnyman Ricky Gervais just offered his condolences.

The musical icon, who broke through in the '60s and '70s with his rendition of the Beatles’ “With a Little Help From My Friends” and other rock hits, left an indelible impression across the entertainment industry. Here are just a few more 140 character remembrances.
