As most college freshmen can relate, returning home for Christmas break can be a mixed bag: On one hand, it's refreshing to spend time with loved ones and close pals around the holidays, and nothing beats home-cooked meals and sleeping in your own bed after a few months of dorm life. But on the opposite end of the spectrum, bumping into old flames and frenemies is less than festive -- something our fave former Laguna Beach high school students Stephen Colletti, Lauren Conrad and Kristin Cavallari know all too well.

This holiday season, LC is making all of the necessary preparations for her first Noel as a married woman, while K-Cav is gearing up for the occasion as a proud mother of two beautiful boys. But 10 years ago (yes, a decade has passed), they had a bunch of awkward interactions during a bash at Lo Bosworth's house. And no, it didn't involve a rousing rendition of "Jingle Bells."

Between the longtime friends exchanging "I love yous" (!!!!!!), one guest committing a major party foul, and the former queen bee calling her then-arch rival a not-so-nice name for returning to her roots permanently, the casual evening was certainly a night to remember. And let's not even get started on that awkward hug between Kristin and the young man she referred to as "Steeeppphen."
